But in some people, back pain is a sign of something deeper – an autoimmune condition called Spondyloarthropathy (SpA) . 🔹 What is Spondyloarthropathy? Spondyloarthropathy is a group of chronic inflammatory diseases that mainly affect the spine, joints, and entheses (the places where tendons or ligaments attach to bone). Unlike common back pain, this inflammation comes from the body’s immune system attacking its own tissues . 🔹 Who Can Get It? Usually starts in young adults (teens to 40s). Affects both men and women.
